11 Pseudofans Detained Over Warsaw Warehouse Fire

Eleven individuals linked to pseudofan groups have been detained for a warehouse fire in Warsaw caused by improper pyrotechnic use.

Incident Details

The fire broke out on February 24 in a warehouse on Kłobucka Street. Police determined the cause was the ignition and throwing of pyrotechnic devices without adequate control. Damage included gardening and construction tools, machinery, specialized equipment, and stored materials.

Losses were estimated at approximately 188,000 Polish zloty.

Police Action

Eleven individuals aged 21 to 50 were detained. The case was handled by officers from Warsaw-Ursynów Police Precinct, Warsaw II Regional Police Headquarters, and the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Department’s Department for Combating Pseudofan Hooliganism.

Police secured the fire scene, conducted inspections, analyzed surveillance footage, and verified information to identify and detain the suspects.

Legal Consequences

Suspects face up to eight years in prison. Five were placed under police supervision, banned from contacting each other or others involved in the incident. Due to the hooligan nature of the act, sentences could be increased. Six individuals were released after questioning without charges.
