13‑Year‑Old Cyclist Halted on S7 After Heading to Meet Online Friend

A 13‑year‑old Ukrainian boy was stopped by police on Poland’s S7 near Załusk on Oct 24 as he rode without lights toward Płońsk to meet an online acquaintance.

The boy was dressed in all black, carried no lights or reflective gear, and rode a BMX bike without a bell or required safety equipment.

Police Intervene Near Załusk Junction

Traffic patrols arrived promptly after a report of a cyclist traveling S7 toward Gdańsk, stopping the boy on a closed section of road heading to Michałówek.

13‑Year‑Old Traveled Nearly 30 km

He had ridden from Warsaw to Czosnów by bus with his bike, then continued on local roads, an emergency lane, and the main S7 traffic lane, covering about 30 km.

Father Unaware of Trip

Police spoke with the boy’s mother, who claimed she did not know of her son’s journey. She fetched him from the scene after his arrest.

Online Friend Blocks Contact

When the boy informed his internet friend that he had been stopped, the friend immediately cut off communication on messaging platforms.
