On Tuesday before 22:00, two men threatened a 16-year-old with a machete-like object in Bródnowski Park, robbed him, and injured him; a 14-year-old suspect was later arrested.
The Crime
On Tuesday evening before 22:00, two young men near Bródnowski Park threatened a 16-year-old with an object resembling a machete. One of them injured the teenager in the leg. The aggressive attackers stole the teenager’s satchel containing cash and documents before fleeing. The victim called emergency services himself; his father arrived at the scene. Due to his injuries, paramedics transported the teenager to the hospital.
Police Response
Police quickly arrived at the scene following the alarm. Officers identified the appearances of both attackers and used a police dog in their search. Officers also quickly obtained security camera footage recording the incident.
Arrest and Investigation
Officers from the Juveniles and Pathology Department and the Criminal Department of the Praga Półnorth precinct were involved in the case. This morning before noon, in an apartment on Targówek, police arrested a 14-year-old suspected of involvement in the robbery. They secured the object used by the attackers to intimidate the victim. Police are conducting further actions to apprehend the second suspect.
