Police discovered the body of a 16-year-old girl in a rented apartment in Biała Podlaska after her mother reported her missing, leading to the arrest of the victim’s 19-year-old partner.
Discovery of the Victim
The victim’s mother contacted the police on Friday, stating she could not reach her daughter. Shortly thereafter, officers found the teenager’s body in an apartment rented by her 19-year-old partner.
According to prosecutor Marcin Kozak of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, the suspect destroyed the victim’s SIM card immediately after the act to prevent contact.
Details of the Crime
Preliminary findings suggest the death occurred between June 2 and June 3. The victim suffered fatal wounds to the chest and neck caused by a sharp-edged tool.
The prosecutor stated that the suspect took active measures to conceal evidence following the crime.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings
Police apprehended 19-year-old Damian F. on Friday night at a medical facility in Radzyń Podlaski, where he had been transported on Wednesday due to reports of erratic behavior.
Damian F. has confessed to the murder. While he has no prior criminal record, the prosecutor has requested a three-month temporary arrest, citing the severity of the potential sentence and the risk of witness tampering. A court decision is expected on Monday.
