A 17‑year‑old in Kurowo, Poland, lost control of a Volkswagen Passat on 10 November, sending the vehicle into a roadside tree and killing both teenage passengers.

A vehicle driven by a 17‑year‑old veered off the road at night between 10 and 11 November in Kurowo, Pomeranian Voivodeship, and struck a roadside tree.
Emergency services dispatched
Police, the fire brigade and a prosecutor were called to the scene immediately after the crash was reported.
Two teenage passengers killed
Both passengers, aged 16 and 17, died as a result of the impact.
Injuries and rescue operations
The driver sustained a hand injury and was transported to the hospital. A third passenger seated in front of the driver had to be freed with hydraulic tools, according to officials quoted by RMF FM.
Driver unlicensed and under investigation for sobriety
The 17‑year‑old does not hold a driver’s licence. Police collected a blood sample to test for alcohol and other substances while the incident is investigated under the prosecutor’s supervision.
