Police have arrested a teenager in Poland who allegedly filmed himself killing his grandmother and stepfather.
Arrest Details
The 17-year-old was arrested on Thursday, February 26, after 1:00 PM in the Krapkowice district. He was hiding in bushes and was not armed or resisting arrest at the time of capture. Police transported him to the police station in Strzelce, where he will be interrogated as a suspect.
Unofficial Reports of Murder Recording
According to unofficial reports, “Nowa Trybuna Opolska” has confirmed that the victims were the 17-year-old’s grandmother and stepfather. The newspaper reported that the teenager published videos online showing him practicing axe swings in a garage, followed by the murders of the family members while they slept. One of the recordings allegedly shows the teenager licking blood off the murder weapon. The video, recorded by the 17-year-old, has been circulated via messaging applications and reached police, who traced the recording to locate the crime scene.
Investigator Findings
On the bodies of the 92-year-old woman and 38-year-old man, police discovered numerous stab and slash wounds. According to Stanisław Bar, spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Opole, preliminary findings suggest the victims may have been killed with an axe or knife. The results of the autopsies will be crucial for further investigation.
Another Double Murder in Opole Region
On Wednesday, February 25, after 10:00 PM, police received a report of a dispute in a house in the village of Sady near Niemodlin. Upon arrival, officers found the bodies of a 24-year-old woman and her 29-year-old acquaintance. The woman’s 29-year-old brother was arrested at the scene, with a knife bearing what appeared to be bloodstains found on him. During his arrest, the man allegedly attacked a police officer.
