According to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Opole, the 17-year-old suspect has confessed to committing the crime and is providing extensive explanations.
Discovery of the Crime
The police discovered the murder in Kadłub village through a recording found on the internet by the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime. The footage, likely recorded by the teenager himself, shows him practicing with an axe before attacking his victims. The material led police to the scene where they found the bodies of the woman and man.
Arrest
The 17-year-old was not at the crime scene when police arrived. He was arrested on Thursday around 13:00 in the nearby Krapkowice County area after hiding in bushes. The teenager did not resist arrest.
Police Appeal
Police have appealed to the public not to share graphic photos and videos of the crime. They emphasized that respect for the deceased and their loved ones is more important than social media engagement.
