The tragic incident occurred on Monday, April 27th, at approximately 8:49 PM on National Road 57 in Czaplice Wielkie, Przasnysz County.
Emergency services, including fire crews, paramedics, and police, were dispatched to the scene following a report of the collision.
Rescue Efforts
Upon arrival, first responders found the 17-year-old cyclist off the road. He was unresponsive, and CPR was immediately initiated by firefighters and paramedics.
Despite approximately 40 minutes of resuscitation attempts, the teenager could not be saved, and a doctor pronounced him dead at the scene.
Driver Information and Road Conditions
The driver of the car was a 23-year-old resident of Przasnysz County and was confirmed to be sober by police.
The accident took place on a straight, unlit section of the road with a speed limit of 90 km/h. Preliminary investigations suggest both the car and the cyclist were traveling in the same direction.
Emergency Response
A total of three units from the Przasnysz Fire and Rescue Unit and three units from the Volunteer Fire Brigade worked at the scene, securing the area and managing the incident.
