17-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Electric Scooter Accident in Żyrardów

A 17-year-old was seriously injured when he crashed an electric scooter into a road sign in Żyrardów on Tuesday, February 24.

Tuesday, February 24, around 18:40, on Limanowskiego Street in Żyrardów, a serious accident occurred on a sidewalk, in which a 17-year-old was seriously injured.

Cause of Injuries

Preliminary findings suggest that the teenager was riding on the sidewalk and for unknown reasons crashed into a road sign set up at a bus stop. The boy was not wearing a helmet – after the impact, he suffered serious head injuries.

Emergency Response

A medical rescue team was called to the scene. Paramedics provided assistance to the injured person on site, then transported him to a nearby field where the Lotniczego Pogotowia Ratunkowego “Ratownik 12” helicopter landed. Firefighters secured the landing zone.

Transport and Investigation

The LPR team took the seriously injured 17-year-old to a hospital in Warsaw. Police are conducting proceedings at the scene to determine the exact course and circumstances of the accident.
