18‑year‑old crashes BMW into residential building; police revoke licence

An 18‑year‑old driver in Ciechanów district crashed a BMW into a residential building in Grzybow, Warsaw‑area, on Friday evening, and police suspended his licence.

Incident Details

An 18‑year‑old driver of a BMW lost control of the vehicle on Friday (7 November) around 18:20 in the Grzybow district of Regimin municipality, and struck a fence before crashing into a residential building.

Victims and Injuries

The driver, who was found to be sober, suffered bodily injuries and was transported to a hospital. Two other occupants of the building, ages 18 and 60, were present but remained unharmed.

Police Response

Ciechanów police investigated the incident, secured the scene, and swore in the driver’s licence. They also recorded the damage to the building’s structure.

Legal Proceedings

Authorities are proceeding against the driver under Article 160 of the Polish Penal Code—endangering a person—which carries a maximum sentence of three years’ imprisonment.
