An 18‑year‑old was found dead in Zabłotce, Poland, on October 29, and police have arrested two suspects while the autopsy has yet to identify the cause of death.
Body found in irrigation ditch
The 18‑year‑old’s body was discovered early Wednesday 29 October in an irrigation ditch near Zabłotce, Podkarpackie Voivodeship. He lay shirtless, face‑down, with arms tucked beneath his chest, torso protruding from the ditch, legs inside, wearing trousers and shoes. Witnesses said it appeared he was attempting to escape through the ditch.
Father reports threats before death
The victim’s father told an online portal that his son had been receiving threats prior to his death.
Autopsy finds injuries not fatal; cause unknown
The post‑mortem has not yet determined the cause of death. The forensic examiner noted that the injuries seen on the body were not the cause of death. Blood and tissue samples were collected for toxicological and histopathological analysis, with further investigations to follow.
Two arrested in relation to incident
Investigators are pursuing charges of causing serious bodily harm resulting in death rather than murder. A 48‑year‑old man has been detained for facilitating others’ use of illegal drugs, while a 19‑year‑old was arrested on drug‑prevention statute charges. Although the latter was not asked to be jailed, the allegations are linked to the event.
