Suspect’s Confession
Alan G. admitted to the murder, saying he committed the crime for robbery.
He claimed to have dismembered the body in his apartment’s bathroom using kitchen knives, then transported the pieces in a suitcase to the park, dumped them in garbage bags, and burned the suitcase.
The prosecutor noted that the suspect had previously received psychiatric treatment and had no prior convictions.
Discovery of the Victim
At the end of November, Mateusz D.’s family reported him missing. Police arrested Alan G. on December 1 and led investigators to the victim’s body in the park.
An autopsy revealed multiple stab wounds around the heart, indicating the death was caused by knife blows after the body had been dismembered.
The suspect and victim were roommates and knew each other.
