The President of Poland’s Office announced that Karol Nawrocki will meet Donald Trump in early September.
Meeting Date Confirmed
The 3rd of September 2025 is set for a working meeting between Presidents Karol Nawrocki and Donald Trump, announced by Office Chief Paweł Szefernaker on X following an official congratulatory letter sent on inauguration day.
Official Invitation
\”In an official congratulatory letter sent on inauguration day, President of the United States Donald Trump invited President of Poland Karol Nawrocki to the White House for a working meeting on 3 September 2025,\” wrote Paweł Szefernaker on X. \”Another campaign announcement executed as planned!\” he added.
Campaign Announcement: Washington with a Stop in the Vatican
During a pre‑campaign debate in April, Karol Nawrocki said that as soon as he takes office he would first visit Washington to strengthen international relations and perform tasks that former President Donald Tusk did not do. He added that the visit would include a stop in the Vatican. He also highlighted that as Chair of the Institute of National Remembrance, he had begun his tenure with a Vatican visit, calling it a very successful three‑year period for the institute. He emphasized Poland’s ambition to become a leader in economic, business, and security realms, and in its relationship with the EU and the United States.
Previous Meeting in May
Nawrocki already met Trump in early May at a National Day of Prayer event held in the Rose Garden of the White House.
Gift from the American Delegation
During the inauguration, President Donald Trump sent President Karol Nawrocki a special gift. Marcin Przydacz, Head of International Policy at Nawrocki’s office, explained on TVN24 that the gift was not a standard item. While presidents usually send congratulatory notes, President Trump chose a unique present to demonstrate strong interpersonal ties. The gift is a signet or sculpture depicting the American eagle—an emblem of U.S. heritage. The eagle also holds significant historical and cultural meaning in Poland, signalling a promise of good future cooperation.
