The incident occurred before 5 a.m. on Sunday in one of Kłodzko’s tenement houses. A 41‑year‑old man called the police, claiming he had killed his mother. Officers arrived on the scene where the remains of a 65‑year‑old woman were found. Blood traces were present at the site, indicating a homicide, and the victim’s son, who called the police, is considered a likely perpetrator, according to prosecutor Mariusz Pindera from the Świdnica Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Unofficial reports from 24klodzko.pl say the 65‑year‑old woman was struck on the head with a heavy object. “The man was set to return home early in the morning, where a quarrel ensued, during which he struck his mother,” they read.
