Tragedy on the Road: Car Crashes Into Pilgrims in Łódź Region

On Sunday, August 10, after 18:00, a passenger car collided with a group of pilgrims in the town of Grobla, Łódź Voivodeship. Eight people were injured, including a child just shy of three years old, according to RMF FM. Police, firefighters, and four emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene, and three air ambulance helicopters were also called.

Eight People Injured

The local portal from Łódź Voivodeship reported that the injured mainly have broken arms and legs. An eyewitness suggested the driver might be intoxicated, but authorities have not confirmed this and are awaiting police investigations, said brigade commander Jędrzej Pawlak, spokesperson for Łódź Regional Fire Service.
