PSL faces risk of losing parliamentary representation
Polish People’s Party must display activity and decisiveness, otherwise its members risk being excluded from the Sejm. Support for the Civic Coalition is only slightly higher than for Law and Justice, making the continuation of the current government uncertain, said Dr. Bartłomiej Machnik, a political scientist at UKSW. The survey was conducted on August 8‑9 with 1,006 adult Poles.
Tensions in the ruling coalition
Marta Rawicz reports that concerns about the ruling camp’s future echo within the Civic Coalition, though early elections are not yet contemplated. “I rely more on the common sense of Hołowni, hoping someone will finally realize he’s harming both the coalition and his own party,” a member of Tusk’s formation said. “But if the polls stay poor, a large number of MPs might leave the club and form their own parliamentary group,” another Civic Coalition participant noted.
