How Many Times Tusk Voted in Sejm: A Poor Record for the Premier

Premier Donald Tusk has abstained from any Sejm vote since June 11.

Donald Tusk’s Voting Record

Sejm statistics show that the last time the prime minister voted was on June 11. From that day until August 5 there were nine days during which MPs voted on bill drafts. The prime minister did not take part in these votes, but each of his absences was justified. Since the beginning of his term he has attended only 36.72 % of all votes, the majority of his absences being justified. The Sejm Office’s website does not provide the justification statements, but it can be assumed the lack of participation was related to the duties incumbent on the prime minister.

Voting Statistics

In the final ranking by voting participation, PiS MP Zbigniew Ziobro stood last with 20.64 %, a result linked to the politician’s cancer. PiS MP Marcin Romanowski followed at 28.9 %, having been abroad in Hungary for months. 34.94 % was the turnout of KO MP Danuta Jazłowiecka, with nearly all absences justified. Donald Tusk’s statistics were slightly better, while KO MPs Michał Krawczyk, Małgorzata Pępek and Dariusz Joński, who have been in the European Parliament since last year, participated in all votes.
