In November, Szymon Hołowni will stop being Speaker of the Sejm – per 2023 coalition agreements. Should he join the government? Most respondents of the RMF FM survey see only one possible answer.
Latest Survey: Fatal Result for Hołowni
RMF FM released a survey conducted by Opinia24. Respondents were asked whether Szymon Hołowni, leader of Poland 2050, should join the government as deputy prime minister or minister after ending his role as Speaker of the Sejm. Nearly half of those surveyed – 48% – answered negatively: 26% replied “definitely no” and 22% “probably no”. A fourth expressed opposition. Only 6% said “definitely yes” and 19% “probably yes”. The remaining 27% had no opinion.
Who Opposes Hołowni in Government?
Analysts from Opinia24 inferred that the most reluctant voters are those of the Civic Coalition (63%) and Confederation (63%). Respondents who declared they vote for PiS were more favorable, with 49% in support. The 25‑29 age group had 35% pro‑Hołowni deputy premier or minister. Voters over 60 were strongly against him, with 53% opposition.
Hołowni Falls to the Bottom of the Trust Ranking
At the end of July we reported that Szymon Hołowni dropped to the last place in the IBRiS trust ranking for Onet. He received the lowest score of all, 62.9%. This is a decline of 10.5pp compared to the June poll. The “rather trust” group among respondents accounted for 18.5%. That means that Hołowni, who at his best (January 2024) was trusted by 54.4% of Poles, now occupies the last position. No interviewees declared that they “definitely trust” Hołowni.
Opinia24 Study Conducted on RMF FM Commission
The study, commissioned by RMF FM, was carried out from 4 to 6 August on a representative sample of 1,003 Polish residents aged 18 and older. The survey employed computer‑aided telephone interviews – CATI – and online questionnaires – CAWI.
