Poland’s Foreign Ministry issued a brief, decisive reply to Belarus’s proposal to resume Warsaw‑Minsk dialogue, stating that, in the current situation, it categorically rejects restoring any talks.
Foreign Ministry firmly rejects restoring dialogue with Belarus
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decisively rejected the idea of reestablishing talks with Belarus. RMF FM relayed the position, noting it responds to a letter from Minsk sent in June. Belarus warned that a lack of talks could lead to a new war in Europe. Warsaw’s answer states: “In the current situation, Poland categorically rejects restoring dialogue with Belarus.”
The Ministry also emphasized that for the past four years, Belarusian territory has been used by its services to conduct hostile hybrid actions against Poland. A prominent example of this activity is the situation on the border, which was highlighted in the letter’s content.
Poland firmly responds to Belarus
Polish diplomats wrote that Belarus has supported Russia’s illegal actions against Ukraine and used its territory for activities violating international law. As a result, civilians are killed and civilian infrastructure is destroyed. They added that cooperation between states requires a minimum set of rules to build mutual trust. “In the current situation, we see no room for dialogue or such actions,” the Foreign Ministry said.
