Fire in Poznań
According to Polsat News reports, the fire occurred on Thursday, August 14, around 19:00 on the attic of a block at 4 Krańcowa Street in Poznań. Twenty‑three fire brigades were dispatched to the site. Eighty‑three people from the building were evacuated during our operations, said spokesperson Marcin Tecław from the Poznań PSP command in an interview with the station.
Burning Hard to Extinguish
Firefighters determined that the blaze spread between the ceiling and the roof of the building, making suppression difficult. “This is a hidden fire, and the wooden roof construction poses complications,” the spokesperson told Polsat. During the fire, dense black smoke rose over the neighborhood.
