Patriotic Launch at Noon
The ceremony opened at noon on Polish Army Day. Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak‑Kamysz told the assembled crowd that the celebration was not only for those who wear uniforms but for anyone who carries Poland in their hearts. He urged that the 105‑year‑old victory remain the foundation of our memory policy.
Minister’s Bold Statement
“This parade is the greatest ever seen,” he declared. “Our army today is the largest in history since 1989.” He emphasized that the army exemplifies the battle that stops evil, defeats injustice, and protects human dignity and Polish sovereignty.

Kosiniak‑Kamysz highlighted that this gathering showcases the most substantial military display in decades, underscoring the strength and readiness of Poland’s armed forces.
Participants and Allies
Four thousand soldiers from all branches of the Polish Armed Forces took part, joined by troops from allied countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Romania. Forces of the multinational North‑East Division and Eurocorps also marched.
Armament on Display
The parade showcased 50 aircraft and 300 units of the most advanced equipment, including Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles, Baobab‑K mine‑clearing vehicles, K2 and Abrams tanks, F‑16 fighters, and helicopters.
Historic Marine Parade
For the first time, a ceremonial naval parade accompanied the ground and air displays on the waters near Hel, marking a historic moment for Poland’s military tradition.
