Closure of Beaches in Pomeranian and West Pomeranian Voivodeships
The Main Sanitary on August 15 about closed beaches. In the West Pomeranian voivodeship, closures were imposed due to cyanobacterial blooms. Consequently, beaches in Stepnica on Szczecin Lagoon, Mirosławiec on Lake Kosiakowo, and Wąłcz on Lake Zamkowe were shut. Dangerous bacteria were also detected in the Pomeranian voivodeship. Due to elevated concentrations of E. coli and enterococci, Jelitkowo and Brzeźno Pier beaches in Gdańsk were closed.
Red Flags at Beaches in Warmia-Masuria Voivodeship
On Thursday, the beach on Okrężna Street in Mikołajki was closed. In the Warmia-Masuria voivodeship, closures also apply to beaches on Lake Miejskie in Nidzica and Ruda Lagoon in the Iłowo-Osada municipality.
