On Wednesday, August 13, Karol Nawrocki took part in a teleconference of European leaders with Donald Trump. On Friday at 9 pm Polish time, a meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is set to start in Alaska. “I can imagine a situation where these talks bring no concrete results in the face of Putin’s overreach,” Przydacz said. According to him, Donald Trump wants an end to the war in Ukraine, but he cannot agree to certain conditions.
Tusk must realize that nothing will be settled with Trump
Przydacz also commented on the confusion surrounding Nawrocki’s participation in the Wednesday teleconference. Earlier on Tuesday, government spokesperson Adam Szłapka announced that Donald Tusk would represent Poland during the talk. “We didn’t even need to ask the Americans to let President Nawrocki, not Donald Tusk, take part in the talks with Trump. Tusk must realize that nothing will be settled with Trump and no one wants him there,” Przydacz said.
