Andrzej Duda Revives His Image After 10 Years: “I’m Not Exactly Satisfied with Agata”

Former Polish president Andrzej Duda has quietly revitalized his public presence by updating his social‑media profile picture and actively promoting his new book. His candid comments on his image and future plans give insight into his ongoing political ambitions beyond the presidency.

Andrzej Duda Refreshes His Image

After more than a decade, Duda replaced the profile picture he had used since the end of 2014 with a new one on X (formerly Twitter). “I made it in late 2014 and I don’t think it has evolved much in the last ten years,” he noted on the platform. In reply, the former president commented, “It kind of changed over the last ten years, Jakub. There was a need for a new look, but I’m not entirely happy with how Agata sees it. There may be another quick change. My wife’s opinion matters! Greetings from Kraków!”

Andrzej Duda Promotes His Book

Since leaving office, Duda has become highly active online, aligning his increased engagement with the release of his book “To Ja” (It’s Me). Working with journalist Maciej Zdziarski and the Łukasiewicz Institute, he has posted content centered on the forthcoming publication. Official sales began on 6 August, the day he left the presidency. He promised the book would be an unfiltered, uncensored account: “640 pages, more than 250 illustrations — many unpublished photos from my phone and family archive — this is a sincere story about life and the presidency.”

What Are His Plans After the Presidency?

During an interview with Gość Niedzielny, Duda admitted that if given a proposal to become prime minister, he would accept. He added that a new premier could be needed to bridge coalition agreements, but no such offer has surfaced yet. He also ruled out participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Unofficial reports from Fakt suggest he is looking to build a think‑tank focused on the Trójmorze initiative. In 2024, rumors circulated that he might join the International Olympic Committee, but SportoweFakty WP notes that no progress has been made toward that appointment.

He Will Certainly Have Many Ambitions

In a conversation with PAP, Professor and Rector Wawrzyniec Konarski of Vistula Academy of Finance and Business highlighted Duda’s potential to pursue an international career. “He will certainly have many ambitions, he has temperament, is in good age, and will likely retain significant support within his own party,” Konarski said. He added that Duda’s earlier foreign relations and fascination with former U.S. President Donald Trump hint at future global aspirations.
