Two Children Seriously Injured in Car Crash; Rescue Helicopter Arrives

In the afternoon of Saturday, a serious accident involving two children occurred in Unin (Garwolin County). A rescue helicopter from the Air Emergency Service arrived on the scene.

Children Ran Out of the House onto the Street

On Saturday, August 16, around 13:30, in the village of Unin (Garwolin County), a collision occurred involving two children outside a house. Initial reports indicate that a five‑year‑old girl and a seven‑year‑old boy, under the care of an adult, left the private property and ran onto the road directly in front of a properly operating BMW vehicle. The children were struck. Firefighters, the Brand Protection Division, the LPR rescue helicopter squad (Rescuer12), and police were immediately dispatched. The children are in critical condition and were transported to hospitals; one by helicopter. The 42‑year‑old driver is sober.

Services Urge Caution

“Accident on 16.08 at 13:35 in Unin, Garwolin County, on a straight section of the county road, in a built‑up area, a 42‑year‑old driver of a BMW (sober) struck two children aged 5 and 7. The older boy was transported by LPR to W‑wy, the girl with injuries also went to hospital. Police are on site, we urge caution.” The exact causes and circumstances are still being investigated. The street is blocked.
