Iran claims it can launch missile attacks against the United States and any European country, according to statements from Amir Haji‑Mokadam of Iran’s National Security Commission, while General Rahim Safavi warns of the possibility of another war.
Iran Threatens the United States
Amir Haji‑Mokadam, a member of Iran’s National Security Commission, stated that “Iran can attack the U.S. from the sea” using Iranian ships and vessels. He added that the United States is about 10,000 kilometers away, and that Iran can send its ships within a 2,000‑kilometer radius to launch missile strikes against Washington, New York, and other cities.
Europe Also in Iran’s Crosshairs
Haji‑Mokadam also mentioned the potential to strike Europe. “Currently all European countries are within reach, and with existing missiles we can hit any of them,” he said, noting that Iran’s missiles can reach France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and all parts of both Western and Eastern Europe.
Another War on the Horizon?
The Iranian Armed Forces’ General Staff warned the United States and Israel to stop “plotting and slandering Iran.” General Rahim Safavi, the highest advisor to the Islamic Revolutionary Leader, stated that “there is a possibility of another war.” He added that “we are in a war phase; this situation could collapse at any moment,” and that no protocols, regulations, or agreements exist between Iran, the United States, and Israel.
