Pre‑Evacuation Actions
Before firefighters arrived, residents had already evacuated the building on their own. Several dozen people, including adults and children, were moved to safety. Thankfully no injuries were reported.
Firefighting Efforts
Firefighters had to perform demolition work on the roof structure, using saws to reach the source of the fire. They then doused the smoldering elements. Six fire brigades, including the city operational group, were dispatched to the scene.
Current Status
The streets around the intersection of Zamieniecka and Pustelnicka have been completely blocked off for the duration of the firefighting operation, which is still ongoing.
