Fire alarm at 5:30 p.m. Thursday prompted a Poznań building collapse, with no casualties reported so far.

On Tuesday, August 19, at approximately 17:30, the Poznań fire department received a call about a blaze at the apartment block on Młyńska Street. The fire caused the roof of one of the building’s floors to collapse, sending debris. Seven fire crews were dispatched to the site to confirm that no one was injured and to assess whether the collapse threatened adjacent structures.
Current Situation
Preliminary reports indicate that the building’s occupants had already vacated the premises, so no injuries were found inside. Firefighters are continuing to monitor the site for further hazards.
