The Assault
Several days ago, on Saturday evening, August 9, a brutal attack occurred in Józefowo near a recreational zone by the Swider River, close to the municipal beach in Otwock. Three young men were targeted, and the victim was a 19‑year‑old law student and footballer of the local club Józefovia. His family is seeking witnesses.
Company of Friends
The victim was accompanied by two 18‑year‑old friends. As they approached the beach, a group of about 19‑25‑year‑olds—including both men and women—started verbally provoking them, using vulgar insults. Suddenly one assailant struck the teenager with a fist to the face.
Mother’s Testimony
“They were verbally harassing my son and his two friends. It was unclear what they wanted, but before the victims could leave, one attacker lunged at my son with his fists and hit him with a series of blows to the face. My son lost consciousness, fell onto the pavement, and bled profusely,” the teenager’s mother described.
Injury and Rescue
The victim lost consciousness, fell on the pavement, and blood streamed from his nose. The attack also affected one of his friends, who was struck too. Witnesses quickly intervened, driving away the aggressors. Police and emergency medical services were called.
Medical Details
The young man suffered serious injuries: a broken nose, damage to four teeth, and required several stitches. His mother, Marta, said, “My son was massacred. The heart broke in me when I saw him.” Despite the shock, the teenager is doing considerably better than the rest of the family. The family has a video recording documenting the event.
