Governor’s Statement
The governor of Lublin confirmed that an unidentified object fell near Łuków before 10 a.m. He stated there were no casualties and no injuries. Three nearby buildings suffered damage after the object exploded on a nearby cornfield. Authorities have inspected the site and are conducting radiation monitoring. A representative of the Provincial Police Command is present, while investigations by the prosecutor and military officials are underway. Psychological support will be offered to residents by the Lublin Provincial Office.
Operational Command Statement
The Operational Command of the Armed Forces announced that there was no infringement of Polish airspace during the night, neither from Ukraine nor Belarus. Analysis of radar logs following the fall and explosion of the unidentified object near Łuków revealed traces of a possible old rotor engine, information that has been forwarded to the Air Operations Center of the Air Component.
Explosion Details
Military gendarmerie personnel are analyzing the wreckage. Local police reported that the incident occurred around 2 a.m. near Osina in Łukowski County. An unknown object fell to the ground and detonated, shattering windows in a house located several dozen metres from the blast site.
