Nightskating Warsaw will begin Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 20:30 for a 25‑km nighttime roller‑skate through Śródmieście, Żoliborz, Bielany and Wola, themed “Fantasy Night” and encouraging fantasy‑inspired costumes.
Event and Route
On Thursday, August 21 2025 at 20:30, the next Nightskating Warsaw run will start. A group of roller‑blader and inline‑skater riders will cover approximately 25 km along the streets of Śródmieście, Żoliborz, Bielany and Wola. The difficulty level is “2” (intermediate) and the theme is “Fantasy Night” – costumes inspired by fantasy games, books and films are encouraged.
Gathering Point
Participants will traditionally assemble at the monument of Nicolaus Copernicus on Krakowskie Przedmieście – the start of the ride is scheduled for 20:30. Organizers note that the event is intended for riders who feel confident on skates and can maintain the peloton’s pace.
Route (≈25 km)
New World – through the De Gaulle roundabout – Aleje Jerozolimskie – Emilii Plater – Świętokrzyska – through the UN roundabout – J. Pawle II Avenue – through the AK “Radosław” grouping roundabout – Popiełuszki – Słowackiego – Żeromskiego – Reymonta Avenue – Maczka – Powązkowska – Okopowa – Leszno – Górczewska – Priest Century Avenue – Wolska – “Solidarity” Avenue – through Kercelak roundabout – Okopowa – Towarowa – through Zawisza square – Aleje Jerozolimskie – to New World Street.
Organization and Safety
The run will be secured by the police, who together with crowd‑control teams will impose temporary traffic restrictions along the peloton’s route. Drivers should expect brief delays at intersections and along streets following the route.
Rules of Participation
Only skate‑ or inline‑skate users may join; bicycles, scooters and skateboards are excluded. Helmets and protective gear are recommended, and helmets are mandatory for riders under 16. Participants must use the lane designated by police and security services, follow the organizer’s and officers’ instructions, and the event is free of charge.
On‑site Equipment and Support
The organizer offers rental of skates and helmets before the run (paid, with a refundable deposit). Details are posted in the event’s social‑media announcements.
Three Rides Until End of Season
In 2025, after the Thursday run, two additional editions are scheduled for September 13 and 27.
