Russian Long‑Range Air Activity

“Alert. Due to the activity of the Russian Federation’s long‑range aviation, conducting strikes on Ukrainian territory— including use of hypersonic missiles—Polish airspace is being monitored by the Polish Air Force and allied aircraft,” the Operational Command of the Armed Forces stated. The command added that, “in accordance with established procedures, all available forces and resources have been activated.” Aircraft, air defense systems, and radar reconnaissance units are on the highest state of readiness.

Constant Readiness

The Operational Command emphasized that “the measures taken aim to guarantee the safety of the territory of the Republic of Poland and its citizens, especially in border regions adjacent to areas of active warfare.” It continues to remain on standby for response and monitors developments in real time.

Drone Explosion in Osiny

On Wednesday at approximately 2 a.m., fragments from a military drone fell onto a cornfield in Osiny, Lublin County, causing an explosion that shattered windows in nearby buildings. Initial radar‑tracking analysis shows no incursions into Polish airspace from Ukraine or Belarus last night. The Polish Armed Forces stated that repeated violations from the east confirm that protecting Polish territory is Poland’s primary NATO mission, and that a protest will be lodged against the perpetrator.

He stated that Russia’s strategy at crucial moments is provocational and that hybrid warfare is ongoing. Poland is investing in systems to prevent future incidents.
