Around 8:30 AM, authorities received a report that a woman had jumped from the bridge in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. Firefighters and water rescuers equipped with boats and jet skis were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Search and Recovery Efforts

The search operation lasted for approximately an hour, with rescuers scouring the area along the river current below the bridge. Eventually, the woman’s body was located.

Statements from Emergency Services

“Today, shortly after 08:30 AM, we were dispatched by the Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki State Fire Service to an incident where a woman jumped from the Józef Piłsudski Bridge into the Wisła River,” stated local emergency services. Immediate units from the State Fire Service, Voluntary Fire Department, Police, and two of our rescue jet skis were deployed to the scene.

“After nearly an hour of searching, our rescuer located and recovered the victim from the water. Despite resuscitation attempts, the woman’s life could not be saved,” they reported.
