A Polish politician accused Republica TV of harassment after workers filmed and shouted outside his home, threatening legal action if the behavior continued.
Republica TV Crew Outside the Home of KO MPs
On Saturday, Republica TV journalist Adrian Borecki and his cameraman conducted live reports outside the house of Kinga Gajewska and Arkadiusz Myrcha, members of the KO parliamentary group in Błonie, near Warsaw. Myrcha, the deputy minister of justice, addressed station director Tomasz Sakiewicz via the platform [https://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/platforma-obywatelska#anchorLink] and stated: “Stop harassing us! We are in our home that has been handed over for use. Filming, shouting at children [https://www.edziecko.pl/edziecko/0,0.html#anchorLink], or blocking the gate is just plain harassment. One more time, and I will take legal steps. We have the right to privacy. “This Was Not the First Time”
Myrcha confirmed during an interview with Onet that Saturday’s footage was not an isolated incident. “This wasn’t the first time Republica TV stood outside our home and filmed. My post referred to all these intrusions,” he told the portal.
“Maybe They Want to Scare Us?”
He described the tactics used by Republica TV workers, including ringing the intercom repeatedly, recording children’s toys, standing for hours with cameras pointed at the house window, and blocking the entrance gate. “That’s how it goes. Maybe they want to scare us?” Myrcha pondered. He added that the group is seriously considering legal action and consulting with a lawyer, as the station’s broadcasts are a flood of hate and false accusations against their family, including exposing their residence, which puts the family at risk.
Republica TV Continues Coverage of KO MPs’ Marital Status
The station aired footage of its workers outside the homes of KO MPs again on Sunday (August 24). For example, at 8:30 AM, Adrian Borecki was shown shouting questions at Kinga Gajewska while filming. The right-wing station’s worker asked: “Are you still collecting a housing allowance [https://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/dodatek#anchorLink] for your Warsaw flat?” and claimed viewers “want to know.” Gajewska ignored him. The broadcast also showed the family leaving their property, with a car stopping near Borecki and the cameraman. A woman behind the wheel recorded him on her phone or took photos. Studio anchors then read Myrcha’s post mentioned above.
