A 25-year-old man from Warsaw died after being struck by a train at Sochaczew station on Saturday afternoon.

Incident Details

The tragic incident occurred shortly after 4:20 PM on Saturday. Preliminary reports indicate that the train traveling from Łowicz to Warsaw hit a man who had for unknown reasons entered the tracks. The 25-year-old died immediately from the injuries sustained.

Investigation Underway

Police conducted on-site investigations under the supervision of a prosecutor to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the accident. The process is ongoing.

Fire Department Statement

“On Saturday, August 23, at 4:21 PM, we received a report of a man who had been hit by a train at Sochaczew railway station. Upon arrival, the victim was found lifeless under one of the carriages. Rescuers extracted him and handed him over to medical staff, who confirmed the death of the 25-year-old,” stated the Sochaczew District Fire Rescue Headquarters.
