A modern, artificial-turf playground at Primary School No. 392 in Żoliborz has been completed, ensuring students begin the academic year with safe facilities while also making the area accessible to local residents through the “Open Playgrounds” program.
Modernization Completes: Safe Artificial Turf for Students and Community
The modernization of the playground at Primary School No. 392 named after Jana Bytnara “Rudy” has concluded. Students will start the school year using the new, safe artificial-turf surface, which meets modern usability standards, and the facility will also be open to neighborhood residents under the “Open Playgrounds” initiative. The project cost nearly half a million zloty and includes a 6-year guarantee provided by the contractor, TORAKOL from Radziejowice.
Comprehensive Renovation of the Playground Surface
The renovation involved a complete replacement of the old, worn polyurethane surface. The outdated material was dismantled and disposed of, replaced with a modern, unpadded soccer pitch surface alongside a full set of field markings. The total cost of the modernization was 493,766.28 zł, with TORAKOL ensuring a 6-year warranty for the completed work. Students will be able to fully use the renovated facility starting in early September.
Technological Advancements and Safety Features
The new surface was constructed using technology that allows the installation of a pneumatic hall above the field. The materials used have fire-resistant properties, enhancing both durability and safety for users.
District Mayor Highlights Benefits for Youth and Community
Renata Kozłowska, the mayor of Żoliborz, stated: “I’m pleased that students at Primary School No. 392 will begin the school year with a new, safe playground surface. Investments in sports infrastructure are investments in the health and development of young residents. We want school facilities to be modern and accessible, and thanks to the ‘Open Playgrounds’ program, families and the local community can also use them.”
Improved Sports Conditions and Free Access for Residents
The modernization has created better conditions for students to engage in sports and spend time outdoors. Beyond school hours, the playground serves as a key part of the district’s sports infrastructure, offered free of charge to residents during designated times.
