Three Days of Music in the Capital – Crazy Days of Music 2025

The 15th edition of Crazy Days of Music 2025 will bring three days of unique musical experiences to Warsaw, blending Gershwin interpretations, modern performances, and family concerts that celebrate the city’s magic and history.

Polish Edition of La Folle Journée

The international La Folle Journée festival began in Nantes, France, in 1995. Its Polish counterpart, Crazy Days of Music, was launched by Sinfonia Varsovia, which has participated in the French festival and multiple international editions in Japan, Russia, and Spain.

A Musical Journey Around the World

Crazy Days of Music 2025 will explore key cities in the history of Western classical music, including Venice, London, Vienna, Paris, and New York. The festival will also feature stops in Leipzig, Prague, Aleppo, Buenos Aires, and Warsaw, beginning with an inaugural concert in space: the saxophone quartet Ellipsos and Sinfonia Varsovia, conducted by Jean-François Verdier, will perform works such as “A Dream for Artemis” and “Sinfonia for Orbiting Spheres” by Missy Mazzoli.

Diverse Program

Alongside Sinfonia Varsovia, this year’s festival will include performances by the National Opera Orchestra, Warsaw Radio National Orchestra, and the National Philharmonic Orchestra. Special ensembles dedicated to early music, such as Capella Cracoviensis and Arte dei Suonatori, will also participate. Conductors featured include Jean-François Verdier, Ewa Strusińska, Bar Avni, Christian Arming, Patrick Fournillier, Jan Tomasz Adamus, and Michał Klauza, alongside guest soloists and chamber ensembles.

For All Ages

Children’s concerts will be a highlight of the 2025 edition. “Basilisk the Dragon” will invite young audiences into a world of music, recounting its adventures with Sinfonia Varsovia. The “Space Cat Panakota” (Beata Jewiarz) will take listeners on a journey to Ravel’s planet through his compositions. Special chamber concerts titled “Smykofonie,” tailored for ages 0–2 and 2–5, will feature stories about Kraków’s royal history and Warsaw’s Siren.
