The explosion injured the building’s resident owner, who was hospitalized with severe burns. Neighbors reported that the man had a history of police intervention due to alcohol-related behavior, including incidents of driving into barriers and damaging the block’s entrance fence.

A total of 35 people were evacuated: 20 from the affected apartment stairwell and 15 from the adjacent entrance.
