Lublin: 24-Year-Old Ukrainian Expelled from Poland. “Multiple Legal Conflicts”

A 24-year-old Ukrainian man has been expelled from Poland following repeated legal violations, including drug possession, traffic offenses, and a prior prison sentence.

The Lublin police stated that the 24-year-old Ukrainian citizen was arrested in 2023 for drug possession. A similar situation occurred a year later. In addition to drug-related charges, he committed traffic offenses, including violating a court-imposed driving ban. He was recently arrested again and charged with breaching legal restrictions. The police noted he had been sought by authorities three times and served over a year in prison for previous crimes.

Ukrainian Expelled from Poland

“Due to numerous legal breaches, officers decided to request the Lublin Border Guard station to issue a decision requiring the foreigner to return to his country,” said the police. The man left Poland on Monday and faces a five-year ban on re-entering Poland or any Schengen Area country.

Foreigner Crime Rate is Low

According to Vice Minister of Internal Affairs Czesław Mroczek, who addressed a parliamentary inquiry in April, the crime rate among foreigners is low compared to Polish citizens and other European nations. “In 2024, foreigners accounted for about 6.5% of all individuals suspected of crimes,” he added. Common offenses include driving under the influence or while intoxicated, violating court orders, using forged documents, theft, fraud, and drug possession.
