On Tuesday, August 26, the Wrocław Voivodeship Police Headquarters detailed an incident that occurred over the weekend. Officers received a report about dozens of people and numerous vehicles near farmlands outside Strzelin (Lower Silesia region). It was confirmed that the men were pseudo-fans of football clubs from Lubin, Świdnica, and Wałbrzych. The police also noted that another group of pseudo-fans was traveling along the nearby provincial road 395.

Pseudo-Fans Fled to Farmlands

At the scene, authorities identified numerous vehicles with obscured license plates. Police stated that dozens of pseudo-fans scattered in panic across nearby farmlands upon sighting marked patrol cars. Over 30 men were detained, dressed in sports gear bearing club logos and equipped with combat sports accessories such as mouthguards, gloves, bandages, and boxing wraps.

Many Arrested Individuals Train in Combat Sports

A portion of the detained men had prior records related to hooliganism and stadium-related incidents. Police emphasized that since many train in combat sports, any physical confrontation could result in severe injuries among participants.

The police statement stressed, “There will be no tolerance for hooligan acts involving pseudo-fans.” It added, “Lower Silesian officers are committed to combating stadium-related gang activity.
