Roadworks on Ostródzka Street in Białołęce restrict traffic to Toruńska Highway direction as bus routes 134, 226, and N11 are rerouted.
Remodeling on Białołęce – Ostródzka Street Access Limited to Toruńska Highway Direction
One-way traffic and bus detours
Road repairs on Ostródzka Street between Astrowa and Maćka z Bogdańca will see traffic directed solely toward Toruńska Highway. Buses on lines 134, 226, and N11 have been rerouted to alternative roads during the work period.
Key road in the eastern district
Ostródzka Street is the longest and most critical road in the so-called “green” district of Białołęce. The local council has planned the renovation of a nearly one-kilometer stretch from Astrowa to Maćka z Bogdańca before the end of the summer vacation.
Ostródzka Street in one direction
Construction will begin on Monday, August 25, at 7:00 AM. Work is split into two phases. First, the lane heading toward Toruńska Highway will be closed. Traffic will flow “against the grain” in that direction. Access to Ostródzka Street from side streets will be restricted to the Toruńska Highway-bound lane only.
Second phase and alternative routes
The contractor plans to start the second phase on Thursday, August 27, shifting work to the lane typically used for travel toward Kobiałka. Drivers will still be limited to the Toruńska Highway direction. For access to Kobiałka, two alternate routes are open: via Głębocka, Jesiennych Liści, Skarbka z Gór, and Astrowa streets, or via Łabiszyńska, Kopijników, Białołęcka, and Juranda ze Spychowa streets.
Buses take alternate routes
During the repairs, buses will not operate on Ostródzka Street. Lines 134, 226, and N11 (which runs only toward Os. Derby at night) will follow detours via Głębocka, Jesiennych Liści, Skarbka z Gór, and Astrowa streets. Further details are available on the Warsaw Public Transport website.
