A vehicle that seemed stolen from a Garwolinie parking lot was actually found in a nearby underground garage, revealing an unexpected turn of events.
The incident occurred on Sunday (24.08) after noon, when Garwolin police officers received a report of a Skoda theft from a local parking lot.
The owner was unable to find the vehicle in the spot where they had left it.
However, the car was discovered in the underground garage. It was not stolen but had rolled away on its own, damaging the entrance gate that partially closed and effectively concealed the car from passersby.
Unsecured vehicles can travel even dozens of meters, ending their ‘self-driving’ journey on a pole, fence, or another car. We recall that according to regulations, a driver is obligated to secure the vehicle during parking – both against unauthorized starting by unauthorised persons and against its spontaneous movement.
