A neglected pregnant woman begged passersby for water outside a Warsaw store on August 15, but went unnoticed until city guards intervened.
Discovery by City Guards
City guards patrolling the Praga-Północ area on August 15 around noon noticed a woman lying outside a store on Inżynierska Street. It was extremely hot, and from a distance, she appeared exhausted, shivering, and moving slowly. A guard approached and asked if she was okay. The woman struggled to respond, explaining she lacked strength to stand and had not drunk anything for 12 hours. She begged shoppers for water and admitted she was a homeless person in crisis, adding she suffers from epilepsy, has not taken medication, and recently discovered she was pregnant. The guards immediately alerted emergency services, provided her with water, and offered assistance.
Patrol Timely Intervention
The wounded woman was fortunate to encounter the patrol. Before the ambulance arrived, guards conducted a detailed interview, sharing findings with medical rescue team members to ensure her needs were addressed promptly.
