Rescuers in the Swiss Alps have discovered two bodies, which the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes are likely Polish citizens.

Discovery Location and Identification Process
Authorities found the bodies on a rocky ledge in the Weissmies massif. The two missing Polish citizens were climbing in that area. DNA tests and identification are planned for Wednesday in Bern, according to RMF FM. Paweł Wroński, spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the rescuers discovered two likely Polish bodies.
Polish Car Left Behind at Saas-Grund
A vehicle with Polish license plates was found in Saas-Grund, the location from which the missing citizens left. It is believed they encountered a rockslide that dragged them to lower mountain areas.
Ongoing Search Since Friday
Search operations for the two missing men, aged 52 and 78, began on Friday (August 22). They traveled to the Alps on August 16, and contact was lost three days later. One of the men sent an SOS signal on Friday, which was received by Italian authorities.
Missing Individuals’ Background
The Polish men departed from Saas-Grund, leaving their car behind. They are presumed to have been caught in a rockslide, resulting in their fatalities.
