In Saturday’s incident in Żyrardów, a 36-year-old local resident punched a Ukrainian man in the face, kicked him repeatedly, and stole his phone, watch, and credit card. The suspect later demanded money from the victim for the stolen phone.
Exploitation of Stolen Card
Using the stolen credit card, the 36-year-old bypassed the victim’s electronic security measures and made numerous unauthorized transactions across the city. A total of 22 transactions were conducted with the card.
Charges and Detention Ruling
Two days after the incident, police arrested the suspect. With the gathered evidence, prosecutors filed 24 charges, including robbery, fraud, and burglary. The Żyrardów District Court approved the prosecutor’s request for a three-month pre-trial detention, ruling the suspect will remain in custody for the next three months.

Robbery in Poland carries a sentence of 2 to 15 years, fraud ranges from 6 months to 8 years, and burglary is punishable by one to 10 years in prison.
