The festival, organized by the Mazovian Voivodeship Self-Government, features free family workshops, exhibitions, and performances. Evening highlights include appearances by Faustyna Maciejczuk, Bovska, Rubens, and the legendary Budka Suflera.
Collaboration Between Warsaw and Mazovia
The festival underscores a strong partnership between the Capital City of Warsaw and the Mazovian region. Aldona Machnowska-Góra, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, emphasized that Warsaw serves as both the heart of Mazovia and a cultural hub attracting residents from across the region. “Mazovian families often visit museums, galleries, and theaters in Warsaw, not just for foraging but to experience the region’s cultural richness. Our collaboration fosters mutual integration, entertainment, and celebration of shared heritage.”
Cultural Attractions and Workshops
Regional cultural institutions will showcase Mazovian traditions through exhibitions, dance workshops led by local artists, and food demonstrations. The Museum of Folk Musical Instruments from Szydłowiec will present artifacts, while the Capital City of Warsaw’s culture department will host additional stalls. Institutions like the Warsaw Museum of Ethnography, the Mazovian Institute of Culture, and the Independence Museum will also participate, alongside rural women’s circles and folk artists.
Artistic Performances and Lineup
The festival will feature diverse performances, including Brass Federation, Ritmo Bloco, and the School of Fans. The Plastic Theatre Makata will present a musical adaptation of Władysław Reymont’s *The Peasants*, titled *The Wedding – Peasant Musical*. From 5:30 PM, Polish artists Faustyna Maciejczuk, Bovska, Rubens, and Budka Suflera will take the stage. Anna Brzezińska, a member of the Mazovian Voivodeship’s board, stated: “This festival unites Mazovian cultural institutions in Warsaw to showcase our traditions, history, and create a space for shared integration and cultural discovery.”
Free Admission and Partnerships
All festival activities are free to attend. The Mazovian Voivodeship Self-Government is the event’s organizer, with the Capital City of Warsaw as a partner and Stołeczna Estrada as the executive producer. Media patrons include Radio ESKA2 and TVP3 Warsaw.
