Contractors working on the tram line to Wilanów are preparing to lay the final asphalt layer on Rzeczypospolitej Avenue this weekend, following the completion of Jan III Sobieskiego Street paving and the reopening of both lanes on St. Boniface Day.
Traffic Disruptions on Thursday Night to Friday Morning
Rzeczypospolitej Avenue will be closed from Oś Królewska Street toward Branickiego in the night of August 28 to 29. Drivers on the second lane will be able to travel without obstacles.
Temporary Restrictions at the Intersection with Oś Królewska
Access to the road leading to Hlonda 2 Building, among others, will be limited to residents at the intersection with Oś Królewska toward the Church of Divine Providence. There will be no exit onto Rzeczypospolitej Avenue. Other drivers will use Oś Królewska and Sarmacka Streets or Wilanowska and Przyczółkowa Avenue.
Partial Closure at the Intersection with Hlonda and Klimczaka Streets
Half of the junction with Hlonda and Klimczaka Streets will be closed. Entry from Hlonda to Rzeczypospolitej Avenue will not be possible, while vehicles on Klimczaka Street will be allowed to turn right only.
Normal Traffic Resumes on Monday Morning, September 1
Normal traffic will return to Rzeczypospolitej Avenue and Jan III Sobieskiego Street on Monday morning, September 1. Permanent traffic organization is expected to be implemented progressively in the following weeks.
Bus Route Adjustments for Line 217 and N81 Services
Buses on Line 217 heading to Natolin North and the overnight N81 service to Sarmacka Street will use Wilanowska, Przyczółkowa, and Branickiego Avenue as diverted routes.
