The foundation managed by Father Rydzyk reported record revenues and profits in 2024 despite receiving no government funding.
Record Revenues and Profits for Father Rydzyk’s Foundation
The “Nasza Przyszłość” foundation, which focuses on science, higher education, Polish culture, and assistance for people with disabilities, recorded total revenues of 10.5 million zloty and a profit of 4.1 million zloty in 2024. This marks a significant increase from the previous year, where revenues were 5.7 million zloty and a profit of 1.1 million zloty. Notably, the foundation did not receive any state funds in 2024 and even paid 1,366 zloty in income tax.
What About “Lux Veritatis”? After a Year of Losses, It Recorded Profits
“Lux Veritatis” achieved revenues of 51.648 million zloty in 2024, including 40.580 million zloty in donations. This compares to 48.285 million zloty in 2023. The foundation turned a profit of 2.2 million zloty, a stark contrast to its 3.7 million zloty loss the previous year. Recall that when the Citizens’ Coalition assumed power, they revealed that under the Law and Justice party, organizations linked to Father Tadeusz Rydzyk had been allocated over 380 million zloty, with nearly 220 million zloty intended for the construction of the “Memory and Identity” Museum dedicated to Saint John Paul II.
Rydzyk Accuses Tusk’s Government of Persecution
In August of this year, Tadeusz Rydzyk claimed on the air of Radio Maryja that the government’s actions against his foundation, “Lux Veritatis,” constitute persecution. “The current government has persecuted, discriminated against, and harassed us with various controls for two years now. Controls ended? There was another one or multiple at once. I ask: Are they Poles? Do they serve Poland?” — stated the Redemptorist priest.
