Conference on Epstein ahead of Nawrocki’s White House visit
On September 3, Congressmen Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie will organize a conference in Washington, featuring survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. According to a press release, the media event will focus on revealing Epstein’s documents, a matter generating intense public scrutiny in the United States. “Unfortunate from our perspective—just half an hour before President Nawrocki’s visit to the White House, such an event at the Capitol will certainly capture American media attention,” noted Paweł Żuchowski, RMF FM’s U.S. correspondent.
Meeting with Donald Trump
President Nawrocki’s visit to Washington on September 3 includes a meeting with Donald Trump. President Andrzej Duda’s spokesman, Rafał Leśkiewicz, stated this week on TOK FM that the leaders would discuss security and prospects for peace in Ukraine. He also mentioned that acquiring American military equipment could be another topic. On his return trip, Nawrocki plans to visit the Vatican, where he will meet Pope Francis and Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Epstein’s legal scandal
Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire accused of arranging sexual encounters between powerful individuals and underage girls, died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019. Recently, Trump has faced criticism for his lack of action on the Epstein case, despite previously supporting the release of documents. In May, the Wall Street Journal reported that Epstein’s records include Trump’s name. It is known Trump had a private relationship with Epstein. In July, the U.S. president sued WSJ publishers and journalists for linking him to the Epstein scandal. Last week, Politico revealed that the Department of Justice has provided the first batch of Epstein documents to Congress.
