Warsaw’s markets transform into hubs for waste reduction education and responsible shopping over eight Saturdays, featuring free cooking workshops and eco-events.
Warsaw Markets Become Platforms for Sustainable Practices
From August 30, the capital’s markets will host eight consecutive Saturdays of free culinary workshops and eco-events aimed at promoting waste reduction, responsible consumption, and conscious waste management. Activities will take place on Falenica, Woloska, Bemowo, and Trockie markets.
Combating Food Waste Through Culinary Workshops
Under the guidance of Sylwia Majcher, a food blogger, environmental educator, and cookbook author, attendees will discover creative recipes using products at risk of being wasted. They will also learn strategies for better shopping planning, food storage, and innovative approaches to cooking that minimize bio-waste.
Eco-Events Focus on Recycling and Resource Sharing
Events will address topics such as waste segregation, the benefits of reusable packaging, and habits centered on sharing and repurposing resources. Children and adults will participate in environmental workshops, while interactive educational games and quizzes with prizes will reinforce the message.
Free Access Without Prior Registration
Details about the events are available on the city’s official website. Participation is free and requires no advance registration.
